Cal/OSHA
Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
The Cal/OSHA Program is responsible for enforcing California laws
and regulations pertaining to workplace safety and health and for
providing assistance to employers and workers about workplace safety
and health issues.
Cal/OSHA Consultation Services
The Cal/OSHA Consultation Service provides assistance to employers
and workers about workplace safety and health issues through on-site
assistance, high hazard consultation and special emphasis programs,
and develops educational materials on workplace safety and health
topics.
Provides workplace safety and health assistance to employers and
workers through on-site assistance and special emphasis programs,
and publishes a wide variety of educational materials on workplace
safety and health topics.
Consultative assistance is provided to employers through on-site
visits, telephone support, publications,
eTools
and educational outreach. All services provided by Cal/OSHA Consultation
are provided free of charge to California employers.

High Hazard Consultation Program
The high hazard consultation program offers assistance to employers
with experience modification rates of 125% or more through its high
hazard consultation program. To learn more about the high hazard

Safety & Health Partnership Programs
California has developed several programs that rely on industry,
labor, and government to work as partners in encouraging and recognizing
workplace safety and health programs that effectively prevent and
control injuries and illnesses to workers. These partnership programs
include the Voluntary
Protection Program, Golden
State, SHARP, Golden
Gate, and special alliances formed between industry, labor,
and OSHA.
